What is Pandemic Lives?

A self-initiated project (both the concept and the graphic production of the promotional materials - see the collection in the Portfolio tab) born during the pandemic, Pandemic Lives is a series of live streams I do on my Instagram, with guests from the Brazilian audiovisual scene (musicians, graphic artists, producers, owners of concert venues, etc.).

As a graphic artist, I experienced firsthand what Covid-19 meant for us, both financially (loss of work) and socially (inability to attend shows, events, exhibitions, and face-to-face contact with the artistic community).

The way we continued, in addition to publicizing our work, to basically express ourselves about all the events involving the pandemic itself and the (mis)government at the time, was through online content transmission. The boom in live streams occurred precisely in this sense, whether via YouTube or Instagram.

My biggest digital reach is on my Instagram. Therefore, I invite those who, in my view, can offer an hour of relevant and enriching conversation to the scene. Initially, it was a one-off project, a "survival" effort during the pandemic, but as the years passed and the extreme situation we lived through ended, I decided to continue this initiative under the same name.

Pandemic Lives is open to all who wish to genuinely contribute to the artistic community, with the exception of: fundamentalist extremists (religious, fascist, neo-Nazi, homophobic, racist).
