Sign Below Channel

The "Assino Embaixo" channel is a personal initiative aimed at creating a space for the dissemination and appreciation of original work.

The name is a popular expression for someone who supports, strengthens, and ultimately "signs off" on a work. Let's say "Assino Embaixo" is a digital petition raising the flag of artistic authorship.

Its logo is a combination of stylized "A" and "E" letters, forming a geometry corresponding to the tip of a classic pen, due to my main activity, digital painting.

At the "head" of the logo is a stylized crown, representing the honor and self-esteem of original art.

This project was the seed of what, years later, during the pandemic, would become "Pandemic Lives," a series of live streams produced on my Instagram, following the same principle of providing a space for dissemination to the artistic community, especially independent and alternative artists.

The result uses a common technique: working with the initial letters of a project's name to form a visual metaphor that transcends the shape of the letters themselves, without losing focus on the heavy, somewhat aggressive, character of the channel's overall concept.

The logo functions as a "battle badge." The "defects" (cracks) in some parts of the structure are intentional in the design, in this sense.
