Lorovet Veterinary Consulting

Founded by veterinarians and partners Rogério Venâncio and Plínio Mantovani, Lorovet provides consulting services in the wildlife niche, from the development of technical projects to ongoing support for business maintenance.

I was invited to illustrate three specific species for the company's emblem: Lear's Macaw, Golden Conure, and Vinascea Parrot. As with two other projects in this portfolio involving these specialist veterinarians, there was a meticulous need to represent various nuances of coloration, as well as the structural proportions of the animals. Despite the vector result, identification with the "real" species was a primary requirement.

Furthermore, there was a process of interpreting the reference images, which were not always of favorable quality for observation, since light, shadow, and other color reflections from external environments, typical of the habitat of these represented birds, are constant.

The reference observation phase is essential, in conjunction with the professionals, to define what is interference from the overall context of the photo and what is natural to the animal.

This project represents a successful process, first and foremost, demonstrating the ability to observe images and communicate effectively among those involved.

The result is used in the work uniforms of the aforementioned veterinarians.
