PUC Minas Postgraduate Program - E-Book Creative Processes

Project type

Image editing + digital painting

Date

2020

My advisors and directors of the Creative Processes and Creative Writing courses – Tailze Melo and Renata Alencar – invited me to develop visual identity projects for presentations, social media, an e-book, and supplementary materials for classes. I was able to contribute to greater reach and launch of materials, improving the schedule and freeing up the teachers' agendas, allowing them to focus on the conceptual planning of classes, lectures, and thematic exhibitions. I joined the team, focusing on translating theoretical concepts into visual results.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:
In this visual identity, I created a visual translation that emphasizes the undertaking of opportunities for personal and, consequently, professional growth, based on the improvement of the individual's creative capacity.

The open door is a classic example from popular imagination when the subject is "opportunity." I used the geometry formed by the projection of light entering through an open door, in a previously dark environment, as the central element of the project.

In order to emphasize the importance of writing as a component in the course's creative process, I used texts written by the professors themselves, graphically isolated, as filler throughout the graphic pieces, adding complexity and value to the result. The manuscripts function as textural complements.

Within the logic of interaction between the elements open door / text / projected light, we have some variations in layout to differentiate covers, back covers, and interior pages of the presentations.

This visual identity was used as a standard for the presentation of the Creative Processes Program, on occasions focused on individuals interested in entering postgraduate studies, both in face-to-face meetings and as a digital file.
