Crypta - Poisonous Apathy

Based on the song "Poisonous Apathy" (Shades of Sorrow), I created this original artwork as a simulation of a print/poster for the band.

The song tells the story of an individual whose life has lost connection, closeness, involvement, and autonomy.

Metaphorically, we have the classic situation of the lab rat on its wheel, signifying a complete lack of purpose, repetitive and constant effort, without any change of perspective.

The rat runs to the left in the artwork, as a symbol of regression, of backwardness. In the West, we read images and texts in the opposite direction.

Ultimately, the "prize" is two dangling hooks at the top of the artwork, ready to provide the "living" being with a far from comfortable retirement.

In the background, a labyrinth complements the confinement of the context.
